Line Array Technical workshop – ISO La Mercè

Alumnos y profesionales conocen más sobre los fundamentos, teoría y práctica de las soluciones line array de Amate Audio

Last April 26th Amate Audio in collaboration with ISO La Mercè held the technical workshop “Small details that make big differences” focused on Line Array solutions. The workshop was held at Institut Mare de Déu de la Mercè headquarters in Barcelona.

The workshop was directed by Joan Amate, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer and our Product Application Engineers Daniel Bartolomé and Paco Rodríguez. The workshop was divided in two main parts: theory and practice.

In the first part, Joan Amate introduced company highlights as well as a brief look at Amate Audio’s product catalogue. Daniel Bartolomé explained the key features of line array systems, its acoustic fundamentals and technology incorporated (transducers, waveguide, DSP, etc.)

Second part was conducted by Paco Rodríguez and started with an overview of the products used for practice & demonstration: X208 line array, 4 systems. Lately, simulation and a practical exercise of temporal line array alignment was performed with 3 X18T subwoofers and a demonstration of remote control thanks to our DSPStudio® software, available for iPad and PC.
The day ended with a discussion of the most common problems in a line array setup and their possible solutions.

Attendees could also see a stereo setup of JK46A column array with the compact JK12WA subwoofer from Joker series.

ISO La Mercè is part of the Institut Mare de Déu de la Mercè, an educational complex which offers several studies including a department of Sound & Image and specialities such as 3D animation, audiovisual recording, audiovisual projects and sound for audiovisual shows.

Amate Audio would like to thank the interest of the professionals and students who attended to the workshop.
